Eightfold Night
One long night. Eight legs. Survive until dawn.
You are a spider on a Florida porch, and the night is long. Your attacks fire on their own, so all you do is move, dodge and choose. Molt to grow stronger, hold out until dawn, and meet the animals you play along the way.
Windows 10 or 11. Run the installer; it installs for you only and needs no admin rights, and the game updates itself. If Windows asks, choose More info, then Run anyway.
Features
Six Spiders
Trapdoor ambusher, jumping spider, orb-weaver, widow, net-caster and wolf spider, each with its own weapon and way of playing.
Fight Automatically
Your weapons attack on their own, so you can spend the whole night steering, dodging and picking upgrades.
Molt to Grow
Each level up is a molt: pick one of a few new Adaptations to build the spider you want.
A Boss at the Porch Light
Twelve kinds of enemies, a mini-boss, and the Mockingbird waiting at 10:00. Beat it, or simply last until dawn.
The Web Garden
Dewdrops from every night buy permanent upgrades, so each run leaves you a little stronger.
Made to Be Playable
Rebindable controls for keyboard, mouse, gamepad and touch, plus accessibility settings and a Quick Setup the first time you play.
How to Play
- Pick a spider and start the night. It attacks on its own.
- Move to dodge enemies and collect the gems they drop.
- When you level up, molt: choose an Adaptation to upgrade your spider.
- Survive until dawn at 11:00, or defeat the Mockingbird at 10:00.
