Pick how you'll use it
Everything is on the app's page. Your interests and history stay on your device in every version, and each version keeps its own.
Spoonful · version 0.2.1
Tell Spoonful how many spoons you have today, from 0 to 5, and it deals three cards, each from a different interest of yours, each something you can actually do right now. Here's every step, in the order you'll use them.
Chapter 1
Three ways to run it, all the same app. Nothing to sign up for, and it never needs the internet once it's open.
Everything is on the app's page. Your interests and history stay on your device in every version, and each version keeps its own.
spoonful-0.2.1-android.apk and open it. The
first time, Android asks you to allow installs from your browser: allow it, then
tap Install. Newer versions install over the top and keep your data.
spoonful-0.2.1-windows.exe and run it. It
installs for you only, no admin rights needed; if Windows asks, choose More info,
then Run anyway. Open it from the Start menu; remove it from Settings → Apps.
Chapter 2
Spoonful starts empty: the cards come from your own interests, so the first run sets one up.
English, Español or Deutsch, picked for you from your device's language.
A sentence or two each on spoon theory, decision paralysis and executive dysfunction, then how Spoonful helps. Read More on Wikipedia opens the article in your language.
Name a hobby, pick its colour and icon, then answer "What could you do with…" for each spoon level, from 0 (lying down) to 5. Every box is optional.
Chapter 3
The whole point: three cards, so you don't have to choose from everything.
Tap how many spoons you have right now. Nothing is picked for you: be honest, a small amount still counts.
Three cards land face down, each from a different interest, each costing no more than you have. Tap one to turn it over.
Tap a face-up card to see why it came up (spoons, minutes, quiet, how long since you last did it) and its tip, then press Do This One.
Chapter 4
No streaks and no guilt: every outcome counts the same.
The activity, its tip, and an Open button when it has a link or an app. A silent timer counts up, or down from 5 minutes to the activity's own length, if you want one.
Done, Partly or Skipped, all logged the same way. Then, if you like, one tap for how many spoons you have now.
Chapter 5
The more ideas you give each interest, the better the cards fit your day.
Every interest, in groups if you like, with how many activities it has and which spoon levels are still empty.
Open an interest to see its ladder: activities from no effort at the top to a full session at the bottom, with "Nothing at 3 spoons yet" gaps you can tap to fill.
3: gets 3 spoons.Chapter 6
Spoonful follows your device, or pick Dark or Light in Settings.
