Portfolio Helper
Drop in AI images, publish a portfolio.
Every image in this site's Image Portfolio arrives through the Portfolio Helper, a small studio that runs on my own computer. Drop in a batch of AI images and it works out how each was made, prepares web-ready copies, and publishes the lot to the live site with one button. It's a good example of the kind of custom tool I build: a job that used to take an evening, done in minutes.
The app itself is just 99 KB; the rest is the example site and sample images.
Windows. Unzip it and double-click Portfolio Helper.cmd; it opens in your browser. README.txt explains the rest.
The download is a working demo: it comes with an example site and sample images to try, and publishing is switched off. Needs Node.js 20 or newer.
What It Does
Reads the Details
It finds the generator, version, prompt and date inside the files themselves: Midjourney's notes, the content credentials ChatGPT and Google (Nano Banana) attach, and ComfyUI's workflow.
Web-Ready Copies
Each image gets a sharp, lightweight WebP copy, a thumbnail and a watermarked JPEG download, and it records how much the web copy was compressed.
Before/Afters
Add an original and a result, with any steps in between, and the site shows a comparison slider and the whole progression.
Organise
Titles, descriptions, collections and featured favourites, with duplicates skipped automatically.
One-Click Publishing
Preview the real site on your computer, then publish: it uploads only the images and waits until they're live.
How It Works
- Drop in one image or a whole batch.

- For edits, add a before/after with as many steps as you like.
- Preview the site, then publish it live.
